What is Holy Fire Reiki?

Holy Fire Reiki is an evolved form of traditional Usui Reiki.

Usui Reiki refers to Mikao Usui who is greatly known as the father of Reiki as he “discovered” and spread Reiki throughout Japan in the early 1900s.

(While this is the most widely recognized origin of Reiki, it’s not necessarily the only one. Reiki-like healing practices have likely existed in different forms throughout history, but Mikao Usui’s teachings are the most well-documented and widely recognized today)

Holy Fire is a specific frequency of energy that is separate from the energy of Reiki.

William Lee Rand, a Reiki Master Teacher, and the founder of the International Center of Reiki Training (ICRT), combined Traditional Usui Reiki with the energy of the Holy Fire back in 2014 to create Usui Holy Fire Reiki.

(You can think of this process as two major corporations coming together during a merger, or two of your favorite artists collaborating on a new song. The new company or song carries the energies of both original companies / artists)

So what’s different about Usui Holy Fire Reiki versus traditional Usui Reiki?

Two main things:

#1 - The additional qualities of the Holy Fire that are part of Holy Fire Reiki (Essentially making it two healing energies in one)

#2 - The process of learning Reiki for the student is different

Starting with the additional Qualities of the Holy Fire:

  • Holy Fire is a purifying energy. Rather than simply balancing and soothing dysregulated energy like Reiki does, Holy Fire burns away densities and impurities.

  • Holy Fire has a greater capacity to reach deeper levels of the soul and subconscious whereas Reiki works more on the physical, emotional, and energetic body. Holy Fire also can be used to address unwanted spirit attachments.

  • Holy Fire has a very loving and comforting quality to it. Reiki is very soothing and relaxing, but Holy Fire has an essence of a warm divine love.

  • Holy Fire is evolving on its own. It’s constantly adjusting to the collective consciousness and expanding in frequency & potency.

And for the differences in the process of learning these types of Reiki…

In Usui Reiki, the energetic activation where the Reiki student gets the capacity to channel Reiki “installed” into their energetic system is called the Attunement.

In the Attunement, the Reiki Master Teacher is the one who facilitates this activation.

In Holy Fire Reiki, this activation is called a Placement (and Ignition come Reiki Master & Reiki Master Teacher Level) In the Placements (and Ignitions), the energy of the Holy Fire is what facilitates these activations. The Reiki Master Teacher simply invites or “presses play” on this process.

What’s the difference here?

The Placements and Ignitions that the Holy Fire facilitate are simply more pure and refined.

This is because there is no human (the Reiki Master) for these activations to move through. While Reiki Masters certainly should have a more elevated vibrational frequency than the average Joe, the fact of the matter is that all humans carry a certain level of density within their system. That density can get in the way and hinder  the purity of the energetic quality of the attunements (essentially the quality of the attunement is dependent on the energetic system of the Reiki Master Teacher).

In the Placement and Ignitions, however, because the energy and consciousness of the Holy Fire is facilitating the activations, the Reiki Master is completely bypassed, allowing these activations to directly from the Divine. This allows the most pure and potent activation possible, each time, without fail.

To sum it up, Usui Holy Fire Reiki is simply the new version of traditional Usui Reiki. It combines the healing power of Usui Reiki with the purifying power of the Holy Fire and provides a more precise and reliable method for bringing the capacity to channel these healing energies to students.

And while Usui Holy Fire Reiki is a more advanced evolution of traditional Usui Reiki, I still consider it the “traditional” form of Reiki that I practice and teach. 5 Element Dragon Fire Reiki, on the other hand, is what I refer to as advanced Reiki — it’s even more powerful, precise, and requires deeper study and time to properly learn and master.
