Pleasure Oracle vs. Sacred Intimate

The Evolution of My Work

As my work continues to evolve, the language I use to describe it is trying to keep up. And as it does, it moves further and further away from the mainstream narrative of others working in similar worlds as me.

Sacred Intimate eventually evolved into Erotic Angel in the summer of 2025. Now both of those titles have evolved into Pleasure Oracle.

I see a Sacred Intimate and Erotic Angel as the stages prior to Pleasure Oracle - earlier manifestations of the role I embody. And while I still identify with those roles, the title no longer encompasses the entirety of what I do.

Pleasure Oracle is the most accurate description now.

So what is a Pleasure Oracle? And how is it different than a Sacred Intimate?

I have a whole blog post on “What is Sacred Intimacy” where I talk about a few different perspectives. One from Don Shewey as a practitioner role, and another from John Wineland that proposes Sacred Intimacy as more of a practice to engage with and honor with partners.

For the sake of differentiating pleasure oracle with the most widely accepted practitioner role/definition of Sacred Intimate I’ll re-introduce Don Shewey’s definition:

“What does a sacred intimate do?I like to say that sacred intimates combine the roles of priest, prostitute, and psychotherapist. In other words, they approach sexuality with the understanding that it’s related to soul work and to spirituality.They use mindfulness and integrity to help people identify, embrace, and practice desire as holy, sexual embodiment as an expression of the soul.They hold the body as sacred and view erotic energy as a crucial component of human life and spiritual health.Their primary intention is that of healing - and by healing I mean not just addressing the wounds to the spirit and the flesh caused by sexual abuse, addiction, or disease but also acknowledging that the fun and the pleasure, the vitality and the divine mystery of sex have nourishing properties in and of themselves.” — Don Shewey, Daddy, Lover, God: A Sacred Intimate's Journey

Beautiful, right? And again all of this still applies to what I do. But what it’s missing is the most current evolution of what moves through me.

The Role of the Pleasure Oracle

As a pleasure Oracle, I don't just act out the role of priest, I bridge the gap between the client, their pleasure, their shame, their eros and the divine. Spirit works through me. I am a channel from the divine to the client. Specific codes and energetic medicine flow through me, from source, to the client.

I don’t just hold space for the client to access, find, explore the divine nature of the erotic, I plug them directly into it.

As this new role has emerged within me, it’s been truly fascinating to witness this evolution.

I see what Sacred Intimates offer as more broad stroked and general. More all inclusive. Which is so beautiful and needed by so many, and most definitely still shows up with many of my clients. (We need more practicing Sacred Intimates in the world.)

But what I find as I deepen into my role as a Pleasure Oracle, is that who this more potent medicine is for becomes more and more specific. It’s no longer for as many people.

The Storm and the Lightning

As I’m writing this I’m seeing the difference in potency between sitting on your front porch and admiring the power of a thunderstorm rolling through, and actually experiencing the power of getting struck by lightning.

The storm in this metaphor being the divine current of the innate innocence and power of our sexual and erotic nature.

I see a Sacred Intimates role as more of a guide.

“Let me take you out to the porch and sit with you as we explore and witness the power of this storm, when maybe when you’re ready I can hold your hand and we can go dance in the rain together”

I, as the pleasure oracle say“I’m the lightning rod out in the open field. When you’re ready to get struck by that power and feel it course through you directly from the heavens, come out and grab on to me”

This potency is for those who are already prepared. Further along in their journey, with energetic "circuitry" capable of holding and receiving a much higher voltage of medicine.

Agent of Spirit

A pleasure oracle is devoted to their connection to spirit. Their spirituality is their driving force in life. What they offer clients isn’t a side gig. It’s not a passion project or a hobby. It’s their life’s work. What they were put on this planet to do.

They recognize that spirit has unique energetic medicine meant to move through them, and they have devoted themselves to clearing their vessel of any and all energetic density so that those codes and that "lightning" can be held in their system and move through them fully to reach those they’re meant to serve.

A Sacred Intimate is an agent of the client.

A Pleasure oracle is an agent of Spirit.

I know a lot of Sacred Intimates. I have yet to meet another Pleasure Oracle.
