What is
Advanced Reiki?
Advanced Reiki (5 Element Dragon Fire Reiki) is a continuation of traditional Reiki training but instead of following a linear track of symbols and levels, this work becomes more intuitive, elemental, and seasonal. You’ll receive attunements aligned with the elements (Fire, Earth, Water, Air/Wood, Metal), which connect directly to the body’s meridians (energy pathways), emotions, and your energetic body. Each level builds on the last, helping you move through cycles of growth that are both personal and cosmically timed.
This is Reiki woven with seasonal wisdom, body-based knowing, and spiritual presence.
The Evolution of Reiki
Advanced reiki–formally known as 5 Element Dragon Fire Reiki (5EDFR)- is the most current evolution of Reiki. This system was introduced to the work in 2022 by my Reiki Master Teacher and Spiritual Mentor, Erin Ryan. It fuses Dragon Medicine, Traditional Reiki, Chinese Medicine, The Meridian System, and Elemental forces.
There are Five element levels in this lineage: Fire, Metal, Earther, Water, and Wood/Air. Each element corresponds to a season, organ system, meridians, and emotional patterns.
Your channel is made up of the 20 meridians of your body–therefore this system of Reiki gives you the a direct way of working with and clearing your channel. When your channel is clear, your spiritual gifts and intuitive capacities once online faster and with more ease.
How is it different from other Reiki training?
Traditional Reiki is more general. It channels universal life force energy to support overall energetic balance and nervous system regulation. It’s powerful and accessible, especially for beginners.
5 Element Dragon Fire Reiki (5EDFR) is more focused and potent. It allows you to work with specific meridians, organs, and emotions. You also work directly with elemental forces, seasonal energies.
This lineage is rooted in the five elements of Chinese Mediaine–Fire, Metal, Earth Water, and Wood/Air. Training includes learning the meridian system and being initiated into Dragon Medicine.
Unlike Traditional Reiki, where you move from levels 1 to 3 in order, 5EDFR isn’t hierarchical. The five elemental levels can be taken in any order. None is more advanced than the other–they simply hold different energies and teachings.
This system requires more study and devotion–but in return, it gives you deeper access to your own channel and allows you to offer more specific, powerful healing to others.
